We use data and technology to bring transparency to the market, and we were the first in Canada to make sold prices publicly available. Today, proprietary data and AI help deliver real-time insights into market trends and home valuation estimates. Why we do it (our purpose)

Where we came from (our history)

Co-founder and CEO Joseph Zeng left a major telecommunications company in 2014 to pursue entrepreneurship. He met co-founder Reed Zhao at a Toronto entrepreneurs’ meet-up in 2015, and the two decided to join forces. In 2018, they founded HouseSigma-a platform and brokerage built to empower consumers with transparent real estate market insights.

HouseSigma hit a major inflection point shortly after launch, when a federal overruling of board-level sold-data restrictions sparked a viral wave of site traffic in Toronto. The platform undertook a string of expansions to other Ontario locations, such as Ottawa, London, Hamilton, and more, and soon became ubiquitous in Ontario real estate searches. It has since expanded its reach to BC and Alberta, with Nova Scotia next on the list.
